Why Our Wood Fences Last Longer
The Difference Is in the Details You Can't See
Most wood fence failures aren't visible when the fence is new. The problems are hidden in the post depth, the lumber grade, the runner size, and the bracket quality. By the time you see the fence leaning or the boards warping, the damage is already done.
At Legacy Fence, we build wood fences the way they should be built from the start — with materials and methods that prevent those problems before they ever begin.
We use true Western Red Cedar, which is naturally resistant to rot and insects and holds up far better than inferior lumber species. Our posts are set to the correct depth for Oklahoma's clay soil and wind loads, using heavy-gauge steel that won't flex or fail. We use 2×4 runners — never the weaker 2×3 material — and secure everything with Simpson Strong-Tie brackets for connections that hold over time.
The result is a wood fence that looks great on day one and still looks great 15 years later.
